RWJF’s Truth, Repair and Transformation (TRT) process helps us address the root causes of health disparities by more explicitly focusing on truth-telling, repair, and accountability as necessary conditions for health equity and justice.

Our TRT process systematically examines the origins of our wealth, our grantmaking impact, our internal culture, and the ways our practices have neglected or harmed communities most impacted by health inequities. By learning from our past, we can repair trust with communities and ensure we are better partners to grantees as we collectively work toward a future where health is a right for all.
